Weight Management
This service is suitable for people who are a little to moderately overweight. It will help you to make small changes to lose weight sustainably. BMI is a ratio of body weight in relation to height. This service is for people with a BMI of over 25kg/m2 (or over 23kg/m2 if you are from an Asian or Black origin).
These services are provided on behalf of Birmingham City Council.
To use this service, you must be a Birmingham City Council resident and be at least 18 years old. You may be referred to this service by your GP or another healthcare professional or you may refer yourself.
The services are delivered virtually or in person across the whole of Birmingham. Therefore, our range of support is easily available for you, your families and your friends.

The weight management services provided are an education based programme that is delivered digitally or face to face.
It provides you with the knowledge and skills to achieve a healthier lifestyle, and support you on your weight management journey.

NHS Digital Weight Management Programme
The NHS Digital Weight Management Programme supports adults living with obesity who also have a diagnosis of diabetes, hypertension or both, to manage their weight and improve their health.
It is a 12-week online behavioural and lifestyle programme that people can access via a smartphone or computer with internet access.
