Breast Screening

Breast screening saves lives

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women in the UK. About 1 in 8 women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime.

The NHS Breast Screening Programme saves around 1300 lives each year in the UK.

The NHS invites women aged 50 to 70 for routine breast screening once every three years.

The practice will send you an invitation to attend a breast screening appointment.

Should you have any concerns, you can contact the practice to discuss them with a Nurse.
